Lidia Kenig-ScherLongtime local professional artist Lidia Kenig-Scher spoke about interior design in the Lunch & Learn Monthly Series on Friday, Feb. 16, at Workbar Arlington, 1167 Mass. Ave. The title of her speech was "Achieving Home and Business Success Through Optimal Interior Design." The event was free to attend.

Kenig-Scher, a commissioner of the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture (ACAC), is an interior designer, visual artist and certified Feng Shui Master, according to an online profile. The goal was to help businesses understand the impact that art and the general arrangement of workspaces, including desks and chairs, have on productivity, on the sense of wellness and on business/career success, a news release said.

The event was being presented in conjunction with Kenig-Scher's current retrospective art exhibit at Workbar Arlington, which is on view weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is also free to attend. The exhibit is a selection of her acrylics and mixed media paintings, which she described ina news release as intended to positively affect an environment and assist viewers in growing spiritually and emotionally to lead authentic lives.

The exhibit, facilitated by the Arlington Center for the Arts, is scheduled to close on May 30, 2024.
