The park project's designer, Weston & Sampson, is expected to attend this meeting to solicit feedback. According to Brian McBride, an associate with the town's conservation commission, some advocates of habitat protection view the proposed construction project as controversial due to concerns about losing woods to active recreation.

According to Joe Connelly, director of the Recreation department, this meeting plans to present a preliminary plan by the design team followed by a Q&A period with the public.
